Using personal data from a wide supply of databases and surveillance, palantir software is used by LA police officers to single out people 'likely' to commit a crime to place under surveillance. A tool originally created for military intelligence is now being turned on ordinary Americans to police and criminalise communities, often targeting ethnic minorities.
